Society gives us a script to follow, a dream to replicate, and the illusionary promise of contentedness once we do. I felt this pressure and disappointment, and I felt how it disconnected me from myself. Collage, the deconstructing and reconnecting of elements and ephemera, became my way of taking the chaos of the world and finding truth within it. My work explores the navigation of dreams, the blurred line between surreal and real, and the voices silenced by dominant cultural narratives — in an effort to expose the hidden and offer another perspective.
